The Lullaby Album CD (2-disc ) (2009)

The Lullaby Album is Jennifer’s 2nd album release. It was a special collaboration that she completed with her mother, Carolyn Southworth – all inspired by new motherhood after the birth of Jennifer’s first child in 2008. The album features 13 original and traditional lullabies, presented in a special 2 disc format: Solo Piano, and Piano with Orchestra.

Interesting Facts about this Album:

– The cover art(unknown artist) was taken from a

1920’s Gibson Girl Calendar that has hung on the wall of

Jennifer’s Grandmother’s home for years. The back side art

work was done by Sue Lindsay – a “digital art” photo of

young Carolyn as a toddler with doll.

– The album came about after Jennifer’s son, at about 6 months old,

would not sleep well. She found herself making up lullabies on the

piano to get him to sleep.

– The song, Unseen Angel, was written after a friend of Carolyn’s

had a near-death experience in the hospital after a serious illness.

– Many of the artists that appear on this album are award-winning

talent. Jace Vek is the recipient of two Emmy awards. Paul Speer is

a Grammy Award Nominated artist/producer. Both Jillian Aversa and

Lori Cunningham are multi-channel winners on Ourstage.com.

– The Lullaby Album was included in Kathy Parsons’ “Best of 2009” and

“Best of the Decade” Lists.

– Jennifer now has 2 sons, both of whom go to sleep every night

with this album playing in their bedrooms. The music has had an

instant calming effect on them at both bedtime, as well as in the car.
